EB Architects provides full architectural services from inception of the clients brief to final completion on site. Our designs are fully compliant with SABS 10400 requirements to be council approved. We are registered with The South African Council for the Architectural Profession (SACAP).

We pride ourselves on working closely with clients to ascertain their specific requirements, produce briefs and plans and practical, innovative, design solutions.

Principle Member

Emese (Ema) Barocsi is a registered professional architect with over 15 years experience in the commercial and residential architectural sector. She has international experience having worked in London, Rotterdam, Dubai, Australia and South Africa.

Emese most recently worked in London on various commercial and residential projects, where she gained experience of contemporary British construction technologies and state of the art design and finishes.

Her interior design experience includes space planning, full interior fitout construction documentation, joinery design, custom design furniture and finishes specifications for commercial office fitouts and refurbishments.

Prior to 2009, Emese was design architect and managed a team technicians and junior architects on a hotel redevelopment for Sun International in Lagos Nigeria. At this time, she was also involved in mixed-use residential, office and retail projects whereby she achieved team manager status in the company.

During the course of her university studies, Emese achieved a first class pass in design for each year of her BAS degree. She has worked with several award-winning architects and her name is commemorated with the chief designer in the publication of award winning Rothman House, 4th Avenue, Melville: “10 Years 100 Buildings Architecture in a Democratic South Africa” by Bell-Roberts.

Emese has now established her own practice and hopes to bring her international knowledge and experience to her clients here in South Africa.
